LYANNA SAITO

Lyanna was born and raised in Alabama, started dancing at the age of 7. She fell in love with it right away, and danced all  throughout high school. Lyanna went to Samford University, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and  Mass Communication, with a Dance Minor. When she got to college, she decided she was done with dancing and that part  of her life, that it was time to do new things; to her surprise, she was in a ballet class by her second semester! After taking  another year off after that, she declared a dance minor, realizing that she couldn’t live without dance in her life. She  danced on the dance team for her last year and a half of school, while also choreographing for many shows and concerts i  in the Theatre and Dance department. Her favorite credits are being dance captain, make up artist, and lead Jitterbug in  Wizard of Oz, and Director/Choreographer for The Underground Dance Concert that she co-created with a fellow student.  After taking a year off from dancing after graduating college, she moved to Oklahoma to dance and travel around the  world with Arrows International. She danced with them for two seasons. Lyanna loves all styles of dance, and over the  years has taken hip-hop, jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, swing, and musical theatre; tap, contemporary and swing being  her favorites! Lyanna absolutely loves teaching and being a part of the Reclaiming Arts family as a teacher and Reclaim Company member and is so excited to see how God will use Reclaiming Arts to serve the Kingdom!
